"Dual Track" Bank Loan vs Bond Issue Financing Strategy When approaching and evaluating the financing needs of a client, Concord’s objective is to study all aspects of the financing and determine the most cost effective structure. Concord has significant experience in evaluating and implementing alternative financing. One such method is the "Dual Track" financing strategy. Using this strategy, Concord employs the following steps: ·
Concord will solicit
bank loan proposals from 10-15 local banks. ·
The proposals must
remain for a set period of time, usually approximately three to four
weeks. ·
Concord then
compares the best bank loan proposal to a bond issue. If a bank loan is the most attractive (i.e. lower overall
payments then a bond issue), a bank loan is
completed. ·
If a bond issue were
more economical (i.e. lower overall payments than a bank loan), Concord would then pursue a bond issue.
